Hillside Community Garden (CSA)

In our second year of raising chickens, we decided to try raising meat chickens. We put them in moveable cages out in a pasture. We moved them to new ground each day. They mowed and fertilzed the pasture as the cage traveled up and down the pasture.

2010 Information:

We are raising 50 Rangers out in movable cages in the pasure. We've scheduled them for butchering on July 28, 2010. Our CSA members can purchase them for $10 a bird. We're guessing they could be around 7-8 pounds by the end of July.

These guys are about 6 weeks old.
